TIME TO EAT

TIME TO EAT

Child of man,

Do you just sow?

Do you just reap?

And then what?

Child of man,

You laboured –

The seeds of the seasons,

Many sacred reasons;

The plants, the fruits,

The bubbly gains from bursting pains.

The farmstead of secrets;

Peace from revenge,

Baked baits, good lost battles,

Weaved love, with twists,

Gifting from nothing,

Pedaled lies to escape moments,

Painting dying faces with lives and hopes,

Truths locked up, never to be told;

Prolonged wounds, layered agonies,

The magic of other moments

Do you remember?

You sowed.

Your harvest, with time, has come.

Eat as you worked.

Reap and eat from your flesh,

Reap, and eat from your soul,

Reap, and eat from your spirit.

Good or bad,

From them all, eat.

Child of man,

Come, and go,

Sit all of you – Spirit, soul and flesh –

By your harvests,

Make haste,

Nature is calling.

Everyone, like karma, patiently, is waiting,

It’s time to eat.
